SDI Week 30

I've started deigning a CD Cover feautirng artists for the college. I have to find out the printing prices for the thankyou card and CD cover. You can view the first draft of the CD Cover here.

Week 24 continued

I tried to see tracy before so i could show her my progress but unfortunately she wasn't there, will just have to try again later i suppose. Hopefully I can get these cards finally printed and I can work on something else.

Week 24

Still havn't got anymore work done, I might try and get some more work done tonight, been really tied up with band commitments and other classes.

Week 23

I havn't done any more work because of a lot of other things at the moment, will get more done soon.

Week 22 (I think).

I've done another draft and it's looking pretty good, i cleaned it up a bit and the changed the layout slightly. You can view the work here. I'm also going to do a CD Cover for artists from the college who are doing a collaboration album, the music teacher isn't specified anything yet but will give me more details in the near future hopefully.

Week 20

I updated my deviantart account today and uploaded my progress so far. It's looking pretty good so far and should look good once it's finished, you can look at the work here.

Week something (I've lost track)

I finally got the first draft done for a thankyou card that could be used for the school, here's a screenshot.... Oh wait, it's not a jpeg even though I thought I saved it as one. That's rather frustrating, oh well, hopefully i'll have the screenshot up soon. It's basically got a mountain going through a cloud with blue and green on it. The blue and green is repeated in the background but it's a lighter colour and a bit more messy. The tasmanian academy logo is on the right so yeah, you pretty much get the idea.

Week 16

I started doing some draft work last night but i forgot to bring my hardrive! so now i can't show tracy anything until tomorrow which is rather annoying but at least it's a start i guess. It's looking pretty good, it'll be useful hearing tracy's feedback on what she thinks i could do to improve it and what sort of style she's going for.

SDI week 10

I finally managed to get adobe cs5 yesterday so I can start work as soon as I get the serial number. I'll start off with the thank you cards and see what Jan thinks of those. Hopefully I'll have more projects as the year goes on. I'm looking forward to starting some work and getting something done.

SDI Week 6 - now

The group has decided to split up and do solo projects as it seemed to be too difficult to get everyone co-ordinated and to work together. I'm going to try to and do some graphic design posters promoting events around the college such as arts week and so on. It'll be quite challenging but I should be able to do it as it's relatively similar to what I'm doing in art production. However i'll use different techniques and they'll have a different style.

SDI week 4 and 5

Reece didn't show up on week 4 or 5 so i decided to join a group who are trying to make a game. I'm going to be helping with the 3d modelling and possibly concept art. This group seem to be a lot more focused than reece was and they seem to know what they're doing. Hopefully i'll influence the project in a good way and will be able to demenonstrate my knowledge and skills in a useful manner.

SDI Week 3

I'm a bit annoyed as reece hasn't showed up or told me what he wants me to do, so hopefully I'll here from him soon so I know what he wants me to do. The stuff about the financial plan was wuite interesting and could be useful if reece and I ever plan to make money out of this project. If I still havn't anything from reece by next thursday I may start working on my own project.

SDI Week 2

The entrpreneurial dvd was quite useful in terms of how to run a small business and some skills that would be useful for this course. I've decided i'm going to do the 3d modelling for reece's animation pilot for a tv show. He sounds like he wants me to do some animals which could be quite difficult considering I've never modelled animals before, but it should be interesting. I'll most likely have to help with the drawing and animations aswell, so I'll certainly have my work cut out for me.

SDI week 1

So far so good, the course seems like fun. So far I have considered either doing a range of 3d models in 3ds max or some music posters.
